Originally developed by Harry Miller and Leo Goossen for the Flathead V8 Ford powered Miller-Ford Indy Cars of 1935, these "W" shaped exhaust manifolds have been described by late Harry Miller historian Mark Dees as "a hot rodders dream". The original Miller-Ford V8 engines sported these elegant cast iron manifolds, a custom intake manifold fed by 4 Winfield SR carburetors, and as the entire powerplant was mounted backwards in their chassis' to power the Front Drive transaxles.
